Joel Sonnenberg Official Website
You have to admire Joel Sonnenberg and the journey he has taken after being severely burned in an accident. At his website Joel's shares: "At the age of two, my life changed almost instantly. A tractor-trailer rammed a line of cars at a toll booth. Strapped in my infant seat, I was trapped inside my parent’s car which was the last in the long line of cars smashed by the massive truck. The flames burned over 85% of my body. Fortunately, I was near the Shriners Burn Hospital in Boston. Many skin grafts later, many prayers later and months of fighting for my life I was released from the hospital. This is where the real struggle began."

"There are many health magazines," says Lisa Copen, 39, founder and Editor-in-Chief of HopeKeepers, "but for those who may live decades with a chronic illness there are few resources that address the rollercoaster of emotions and practicalities of effectively living with disease-especially from a Christian perspective, which is the foundation for many.Coping with chronic illness can be disheartening, through support with others we can learn how to manage chronic illness well."

Ravi Zacharias International
"To reach and challenge those who shape the ideas of culture with the credibility of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ravi Zacharias International Ministries seeks to reach and challenge those who shape the ideas of culture with the credibility and the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To questions of the skeptic and the believer we offer an apologetic - we give an answer - to the counter claims of secularism and other worldviews. We address the intellectual and existential assumptions of our culture, realizing that for some, the door to the heart is through the mind, and for others through the imagination. Our vision is threefold: evangelism, apologetics and training. One of the great losses of our time is critical thinking and RZIM is committed to reaching this generation around the world. We seek to remove the barriers to the cross for the skeptic and we prepare Christians to give a reason for the hope within."

KidsLink Downrange
"KidsLink Downrange is a service project designed to involve MOPS groups in helping military personnel and their families. You can be a part of this project by creating Card Kits that include pre-made cards that military kids can send their parent.
KidsLink Downrange exists to provide military children with the means to communicate regularly with their deployed parent downrange. In military slang, downrange is a term for being deployed overseas, usually in a war zone.
Military personnel who are downrange love getting mail from home, and they especially love personal notes from their children. It is a joy and encouragement amid the long days, homesickness, and hard work."

What God Whispers in the Night (book)
Once a year, Legacy Five came to Denver for a concert. Even though Southern Gospel was not our two youngest son's favorite music, they loved this group. In particular, we loved Roger Bennett, the pianist. He was talented and funny. In 2007 Roger's battle with leukemia ended with his transfer to heaven. His wife, Debbie, has taken up where Roger left off with his online journal. Roger recommended this book, "Ron Mehl is a hero that I never met. A friend gave me this book a couple of years ago and it really touched me. Ron was suffering with Leukemia and had written several wonderful books before this one "Whispers" really got to me. The main thought is why is it that God who IS light, who created light, does so much of his work in the dark? The answer, because that's where WE are. We struggle in darkness, our weakness is more pronounced in the darkness and we feel so alone in our darkness. But....God is not intimidated by the dark! He invades it and speaks to us there! You should read this book asap. (*****)"
